The challenge: a trusted program that didn't look the part
Athena's challenge wasn't its programs — Larissa had built a genuinely strong, state-approved academy spanning DUI/risk-reduction, anger management, and family enrichment. The challenge was trust at first glance. A prospective student finding Athena was usually under stress — court-referred, on a deadline, wary of being scammed — and in that state people make a snap legitimacy judgment in seconds; the old site, generic and dated, didn't pass it. It looked like a template, not an institution.
That cost enrollments two ways: some searchers bounced to a competitor that simply looked more official, and others called to ask the questions the site should have answered ("are you state-approved?", "will the court accept this?"), eating Larissa's time on screening instead of teaching.
And there was no real brand to anchor any of it — no consistent identity, no clear "Warrior of Wisdom" story, no online way to register; everything ran through the phone.
"I knew the quality of what we offered. I just don't think our old website earned people's trust before they ever picked up the phone."
— Larissa, FounderWhat we built
This was a brand build as much as a website — because the problem was credibility, the fix had to start with identity. (You can explore the Athena experience we designed here.)
A brand built to earn trust in seconds
- A complete brand identity — the "Warrior of Wisdom (W.O.W.)" concept turned into a real visual system: a confident deep-purple-and-gold palette, an owl-and-laurel mark, and a tone that's authoritative but warm — serious about the law, kind to the person.
- A trust-first homepage — state-approval and court-acceptance answered above the fold, where the anxious searcher is looking, so the legitimacy question is settled in the first three seconds.
- Clear program pages — DUI/risk-reduction, anger management, and family enrichment each explained plainly: what it is, who it's for, and how it satisfies a court requirement.
- Online registration & inquiry — a way to enroll and ask questions without a phone call, so Larissa can stop screening and start teaching.
- An FAQ that does the heavy lifting — the real questions (approval, court paperwork, scheduling, cost) answered on the page, which also helps Athena surface in Google and AI answers.
- A fast, mobile-first build — because many referrals open the link on a phone the moment they get it.
The results
Online enrollments grew 2.4× over the first quarter — the same searches that used to bounce now converted, because the brand answered the legitimacy question before the visitor had to ask it.
Registration moved online
Where essentially every sign-up had run through the phone, about 71% now come through the site, freeing Larissa from constant screening calls.
Athena started showing up
The new program pages and FAQ pushed the academy onto page one for "DUI school Athens GA" and related searches, and made it far more likely to be named in AI-generated answers to questions like "state-approved DUI classes near me."
| Metric | Before | After (quarter 1) |
|---|---|---|
| Online enrollments / month | 11 | 26 |
| Share of registrations online | ~0% | 71% |
| Google rank ("DUI school Athens GA") | Page 3+ | Page 1 |
| Brand identity | None / template | Full "W.O.W." system |
| Mobile load time | 5.3s | 1.7s |
Payback in about six weeks
With the brand and site converting referrals at a higher rate and capturing registrations 24/7, the $5,500 investment was recovered inside two months.
The takeaway: Athena didn't have a quality problem — it had a credibility-at-first-glance problem. Building a real brand and answering the trust questions above the fold converted anxious searchers who used to bounce, and turned a phone-only academy into one that enrolls around the clock.

How much did Athena DUI Academy's website cost?
Athena invested $5,500 in a combined brand identity and website build — a full "Warrior of Wisdom" visual system, a trust-first homepage, clear program pages, online registration, and an SEO-ready FAQ. It paid for itself in about six weeks.
What results did the rebrand and new website produce?
Online enrollments grew about 2.4× in the first quarter, roughly 71% of registrations moved online from near zero, and the academy reached page one for "DUI school Athens GA." The brand answered the legitimacy question before a visitor had to ask it.
Why did this project include branding, not just a website?
Because the core problem was credibility at first glance. Anxious, often court-referred searchers judge legitimacy in seconds, so the fix had to start with a trustworthy identity — palette, mark, and tone — not just a new layout.
What made the biggest difference for enrollments?
Earning trust above the fold. Answering "are you state-approved and court-accepted?" in the first three seconds, inside a credible brand, converted searchers who used to bounce — and online registration captured them 24/7.
